Description

This thermocouple can be used for measuring the oil temperatur at testing vehicles. It can be inserted in the standard dipstick hole. The stick is flexible and can reach a perfect position in the engine.

It has a handle for easy use, the length can be adjusted with the rubber cone.

In high-performance engines, measuring the oil level temperature is particularly important to avoid overheating. Measuring oil temperature in the automotive industry

Special temperature sensors are not only used in Formula 1. Measuring the oil in a car is also important in the automotive industry, for example when using and testing test vehicles. This ensures that the engine oil does not threaten to overheat. Measuring the temperature of oil without a thermometer or thermocouple only works if precise readings are not required. It is possible to measure oil temperature without a thermometer, for example with a thermal imaging camera, but it is more difficult to obtain reliable and constant results. This methodology is more useful when trying to manage overall temperatures in a high performance vehicle than when measuring the exact temperature of oil.

The type K thermocouple is a good choice for measuring oil, as it offers high precision over a wide temperature range. In addition, type K thermocouples are very robust and durable, which results in high reliability when monitoring the oil temperature. We recommend our oil dipstick with Teflon lines, as you benefit from optimal positioning in the engine compartment thanks to the flexible design. In addition, measuring the oil is made easier by the fact that the thermocouple can be easily inserted and removed again. The isolated measuring point delivers accurate results even under extreme conditions and can be used at up to 200° in continuous operation.
