Sheathing tube thermocouples

The exposed measuring point on wire thermocouples often experiences problems with oxidation at high temperatures or faults in aggressive media. If there is a risk of such problems, the use of sheathing tube thermocouples may be the solution. The measuring point is installed at the tip of a stainless steel tube which is closed at one end, protecting the measuring point from chemical and mechanical influences. The measuring point can be insulated against the stainless steel tube. The sheathing construction is not flexible. The thermowire is permanently attached to the stainless steel tube so that the measuring point cannot be accidentally removed from the tube. This offers the advantage of providing a robust solution for various potential uses. We manufacture our sheathing tube thermocouples in every type required. The diameter and length of the tube, as well as the type and length of the wire, can be adapted to suit your requirements.
