Wire resistance thermometer

An wire resistance thermometer represents the simplest design of a resistance thermometer. The measuring resistor is connected at its terminals with a wire and is only protected with a shrink hose. This design guarantees extremely fast response times from the resistor and prevents attached sleeves from influencing the measurement. The area of use is limited by the heat resistance properties of the insulation, and there is no protection against mechanical or chemical influences. Should these be an issue, different designs should be used.
