Type R
PlatinRhodium-Platin (Pt13Rh-Pt)
The colour of the outer sheath is orange, the positive wire is also orange and the negative wire is white. Due to the precious metals used, a compensating wire is always used as the connecting wire. For type R, compensation wires RCA (0 °C to +100 °C) and RCB (0 °C to +200 °C) are defined according to DIN EN 60584-3.
